PrivacyLabz (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “the site”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit PrivacyLabz, how we use it, and what choices you have.
Information we collect
Automatically collected information. Like most websites, we use analytics tools that automatically collect information about your visit — pages viewed, time spent on the site, browser and device type, approximate location (typically city or region level, based on IP address), and how you arrived at the site (e.g., search engine, direct link, referral).
Cookies. We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and to support affiliate link tracking. See our Cookie Policy for details on what cookies we use and how to control them.
Information you provide directly. If you contact us via email or a contact form, we collect whatever information you choose to include (typically your email address and message content). We use this only to respond to you.
We do not collect: payment information (we don’t process payments — purchases happen on Amazon or other retailers’ sites, governed by their own privacy policies), account credentials (we don’t offer user accounts), or health, financial, or other sensitive personal information, unless you volunteer it in a message to us.
How we use information
- To understand how visitors use the site and improve our content
- To respond to messages sent to us
- To track affiliate link performance (so we know which content is useful — this does not involve identifying you personally)
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your information for advertising purposes beyond standard analytics.
Affiliate links and third-party sites
PrivacyLabz contains affiliate links, including through the Amazon Associates Program and the Silent Pocket affiliate program. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. See our Affiliate Disclosure for full details.
When you click through to Amazon, Silent Pocket, or any other third-party retailer, you leave PrivacyLabz and become subject to that site’s own privacy policy and terms. We have no control over, and are not responsible for, how third-party sites handle your information.
Your rights
Depending on where you’re located, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:
- Know what information we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your information
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Request a copy of your information in a portable format
If you’re in the European Economic Area or UK: these rights are provided under the GDPR/UK GDPR.
If you’re a California resident: you have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information is collected and to opt out of its sale (we do not sell personal information).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@privacylabz.com.
Data retention
We retain analytics data for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, consistent with our analytics provider’s standard retention periods. Messages sent to us are retained only as long as needed to address your inquiry.
Children’s privacy
PrivacyLabz is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
